Baby LUV Casting Keepsake Kit - Oak
The shadow box is hand-crafted in the U.S.A. of solid oak wood construction with a smooth varnish finish. The inside dimensions are 7 x 7 x 2.5 inches and with a glass front and removable back.
Materials are included for 6 full size castings (3 feet & 3 hands). The containers and materials will accommodate a foot up to about shoe size 3 and an infant hand up to about age 1 year. [Optional: If you want additional sets of casting materials, choose from the refills listed above.]

Other items you will need (not included): disposable or glass bowl for mixing casting stone and liquid measuring cup
Making the Mold: The molding material is cool setting, nontoxic and non allergenic. Wiggling is not a problem as long as your child's foot or hand remains submerged in the molding material until it sets. The set time is 2-3 minutes, which includes the mixing time. See the Product FAQs page for further details on how the material captures a detailed mold. Note: Your child never comes into contact with casting stone.

Finish Choices: (listed in the order shown in the feet picture below) unfinished (for comaprison), clear semi-matte sealant, clear glaze, pearl or bronze. [Note: both the glaze and the matte sealant can be used as a top coat over other paints.]

Finish Choices: The clear glaze is a water based triple-thick formula that goes on smoothly with no brush strokes and usually requires only 1 thin coat. It lends a bright, clear coating that gives the illusion of depth and creates a glazed ceramic look. The clear semi-matte sealant is water-based, goes on white and dries to a clear semi-matte finish. It can also be applied over other paints. The paints are nontoxic metallic acrylics that are especially designed for bisques, ceramics and plasters.
