Finish Choices: (listed in the order shown in the feet picture below) unfinished (for comaprison), clear semi-matte sealant, clear glaze, pearl or bronze. [Note: both the glaze and the matte sealant can be used as a top coat over other paints.]
This kit contains the materials to do 2 complete castings of a child over the age of 1 (or when the infant kit is too small, which would be foot over the length of 4 inches). You can therefore cast either two feet, two hands or one hand & one foot. ["Refills" (casting powders only) to create additonal statues can be added to this complete kit at a discount- see selections above.]

The larger molding tray and generous amounts casting materials included with this kit can accommodate a foot up to about a child shoe size 10 and/or a hand up to about age 4 with the included tray. However, if a flexible large cup-shaped container is used instead (not included), the materials can accommodate a hand up to about age 10. [The total length of the container is 7 inches and it is 4 inches deep.]

Making the Mold: The molding material is cool setting, nontoxic and non allergenic. A foot-shaped molding container is supplied and wiggling is not a problem as long as your child's foot or hand remains submerged in the molding material until it sets. The set time is 2-3 minutes, which includes the mixing time. See the product FAQs page for further details on how the material captures a detailed mold. Note: Your child never comes into contact with casting stone.

 Included: 2 pkgs molding powder, 2 pkgs casting stone, 1 reusable molding container, mixing spoon, paint brush, choice of finish, sandpaper, detailing pin and complete instructions.
There are also a variety of display cases to choose from.
Finish Choices: (Some sort of finish is recommended to keep out dirt and oil, etc.) The clear glaze is a water based triple-thick formula that goes on smoothly with no brush strokes and usually requires only 1 thin coat. It lends a bright, clear coating that gives the illusion of depth and creates a glazed ceramic look. The clear semi-matte sealant is water-based, goes on white and dries to a clear semi-matte finish. It can also be applied over other paints. The paints are nontoxic metallic acrylics that are especially designed for bisques, ceramics and plasters.
Other items you will need (not included): bowl for mixing casting stone and liquid measuring cup
Optional Items: permanent marker for monogramming, clear coat varnish finish to go over bronzing paint (recommended if the statue will be handled a lot)
[Also suggested for baby bottom / butt castings or combine the 2 sets of materials for a single adult foot (up to about a womens 8 or a larger foot if you do not need to include the ankle in the casting). Regarding the adults, you would need to supply your own bread loaf shaped container or plastic lined shoe box.]
