Luna Bean® KEEPSAKE HANDS
Plaster Statue Kit
Preserve Every Precious Detail!

NEW! Larger Size! The new bucket dimentions are 8" tall by 8" in diameter to better fit two adult hands in more positions- PLUS 50% more molding material.

This plaster casting kit for a pair of hands contains the materials to do 1 casting of the following types:
2 Adult Hands (Couple's Hands, Wedding Hands, Anniversary Hands, Praying Hands, Friends, etc)
2 Adults + up to 2 Children (Ages 10 and under)
3-4 Children under age 12

Included with this kit: Plastic molding bucket, 1 bag of molding powder, 1 bag of casting stone, fine sandpaper, course sandpaper, demolding stick, detailing pin and detailed instructions.

Optional Display Base: A display base can be added at a discount. Some couple hand castings will fit on a 6" round plaque such as those with small to medium hands/wrists and/or in castings where the wrists are as one unit with go gaps. For castings that include larger hands/wrists, a third adult or a couple of children, you will need the larger 8" square plaque. Attach with tacky wax, crazy/super glue, epoxy or even a screw. Tips: If using glues, first sand the base surface where cast will be attached. If using a screw, place a screw receiver plug in the cast during the setting phase.

Optional refill (casting powders only) to create an additonal statue can be added to this complete kit at a discount- see selection above.

Optional Finish: Painting and/or sealing your completed statue is not required, but it is recommended if it will be handled a lot. We have include a few of our most popular finishes. All finishes come with a pint brush. With the acrylic paints, the first think coat works as a primer and it is best to apply 1-2 thin coats on top of that. The triple thick glaze and the matte sealant are best when applied in 2 thin layers.

Other Items Needed: Large rubber spatula whisk, or large plastic spoon for mixing molding material, liquid measuring cup, glass or disposable bowl for mixing casting stone

Making the Mold: The molding material is cool setting, nontoxic and non allergenic. Wiggling is not a problem as long the hands remain submerged in the molding material until it sets. The set time is about 3-4 minutes, which includes the mixing time.

Molding bucket dimensions: 8" Tall and 8" in diameter

For a larger kit, check out our
Keepsake Hands XL kit (10" tall x 10" in diameter), or consider our bulk casting materials along with a custom container of your own.

Quantity discounts are available on the purchase of 2 or more. Click ''view quantity discounts" above for details.

Worth the buy December 10, 2018
Reviewer: Happy User
I read the directions 3 times before starting to make sure we didn't mess it up! Worked well for us! No complaints other than my own fault for not tilting the container enough to fully fill one of my finger molds. The rubbery mold came off of my jewelry fine, just took some time because of all the small crevices. Would recommend trying! It was fun!

Amazing December 10, 2018
Reviewer: Ronnie F. from TX
This molding kit worked really well. I did a cast of my daughter and I holding hands. She is four so she moved her hands around a little bit but the kit set fast enough to capture everything. The detail after pouring and setting the plaster was amazing. The gift recipient didn't believe that I was able to make that myself.

Awesome keepsake December 10, 2018
Reviewer: Karen L. Buechel
I have purchased eight of these in tKaren L. Buechelcouple months. Started with one just to cast my husband and I. Was so impressed that I purchased another one so that I could cast my grandchildren. Then I ordered six more to give as gifts as I have received so many compliments on the ones we cast ourselves. I have one more to purchase in the coming weeks and then I think I have the whole family covered. Awesome product. Keepsakes for sure

We had a blast! December 10, 2018
Reviewer: Laura L. from TX
My husband and I had a blast making a cast of our hands for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It turned out great except the solitaire in my ring is raised so there as a little glitch there but we repaired it with the extra powder that we saved (as instructed) and it is fine. I would recommend taking any rings other than bands.

Very sentimental November 25, 2018
Reviewer: Amber
It's a AWESOME! It is really hard to get the details down but its worth it! I did it with my Nanny who is 78 and it's a little hard to keep still but I think it's because our water was to cold and it took a long time to set. I saw where everyone wore their rings and the detail was very good but ours didnt turn out so well at all. Overall its definitely worth the work. I do advise that you fill the mold all the way to the top so you have a "base"
